The world number two from Spain skipped the ATP Cup for Spain last week because of lower back problems. However, despite ongoing back problems, the 34 year’s old Spaniard firmly expects to start at the Australian Open as he confirmed yesterday during a press conference.
Nadal said, “I’m not thinking about not playing…I’ve done a lot to recover,…it’s nothing serious, but the muscle is still tight, so it’s difficult to play with freedom of movement. Let’s hope the situation continues to improve. We are doing everything. My physio is here, the doctors are here, everyone is helping me in me”.
