A new person has tested positive for COVID-19 at the French Open in Paris. Because of a positive test of the coach, a female doubles player is not allowed to participate in the tournament.
This was announced by the organizers of the French Open. The player’s name was not revealed. The competitions of doubles start on Tuesday.
Previous to this case, there was the sensation around Fernando Verdasco from Spain, who was tested positive and removed from the schedule. Verdasco claims that the test result was a false positive as all further tests had turned out negative. The Spanish player claims that he was already infected with the Coronavirus back in August.
