The Danish soccer team, who were the European champions in 1992, defeated Russia with 4:1. Mikkel Damsgaard made the first score in the 38th minute, Yussuf Poulsen, the second in the 59th minute, Andreas Christensen the third goal in the 80th minute and in minute 82 Joakim Maehle, made goal four. The Russian score was made by Artjom Dsjuba in the 70th minute.
Denmark moved up from fourth to second place in Group B on the final matchday with this win. The team will play against Wales on Saturday in Amsterdam.
Final Group B match
Belgium celebrated their third victory against Finland in St. Petersburg. With the 2-0 win, the Red Devils are joining Italy and the Netherlands in the knockout phase. The match’s first goal was an own one by Finland’s goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky in the 74th minute. Romelu Lukaku scored the second one shortly before the end of the game.
Following their defeat, the Finnish team is third in the table behind Denmark and still has to fear for a place in the round of 16.
