The Brazilian national soccer player Arthur Melo from FC Barcelona will switch to Juventus Turin (Juventus Football Club) after the end of the current extended season. The replacement sum amounts to 72 million euros plus performance-related bonuses of up to ten million, the Spanish champion announced on Monday. The 23-year-old had already passed the medical examination in Turin, it was said. According to Spanish media reports, the 30-year-old Miralem Pjanic will be coming from Turin to Barcelona in return.
Following his move from Gremio Porto Alegre to the Catalan club in the summer of 2018, Arthur has so far played 72 compulsory matches for Barça. He scored four goals and won the Primera División and the Spanish Supercup last season alongside superstar Lionel Messi and German goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen. However, the defensive midfielder was unable to convince the fans.
